Comments:
NOTES: Jones et al. (2015) referred Helicorhoidion nypicola to the Dothiediomycete genera incertae sedis, but it is better regarded as Ascomycota family/genera incertae sedis as there are no cultures or sequence data available for this genus, currently six species are assigned to the genus. Helicorhoidion nypicola is the only species found in marine habitats. The species does not appear to be common although it was collected at six mangroves in Thailand on N. fruticans. It occurred at a frequency of 26–27 % at Satun and Chachoengsao mangroves (Loilong et al. 2012). Loilong et al. (2012) list it as host specific on N. fruticans. Helicorhoidion nypicola needs to be recollected, isolated and sequenced to determine its higher classification placement (Wijayawardene et al. 2017).
